The 2019 Measles outbreak in Washington and New York has been a major public health concern for children. Measles is an extremely contagious virus and can cause serious respiratory symptoms, fever and rash. In some cases, especially in babies and young children, the consequences can be severe. Dr. Elizabeth Loconto, pediatrician at Mercyhealth East in Janesville, sits down with WCLO Radio to explain all we need to know about Measles, who is at risk, how to prevent and the importance of regular well visits for children.
