Financial assistance

If you're uninsured or have trouble paying for your health care, we may be able to help. We provide exceptional health care services to people in our communities, regardless of ability to pay.

Many of our patients have insurance or other programs to help pay for the services they receive, and in many cases, we have agreements with these insurance companies and other payors. When we have such agreements, we bill in accordance with the terms of the contracts. For patients with limited or no ability to pay, we extend a variety of financial assistance measures, as noted below.

Can I set up a payment plan?

Interest-free, short-term financing may be available. Under our short-term financing program, you may pay balances in equal installments of at least $50 for a period of up to 24 months. Auto-pay using a credit or debit card is required for all payment plans.

Pay costs over time with CareCredit

CareCredit is a health, wellness and personal care credit card that gives you the ability to pay overtime with promotional financing options* for expenses of $200 or more.

Use CareCredit to pay for deductibles, copays and out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance.* Plus, you can use it again and again at 245,000-plus provider and select retail locations nationwide.

Community Care Program

Through our Community Care Program, you may apply for and qualify for reduced prices or free services, depending on your eligibility.

Illinois hospital uninsured patient discount information

An uninsured Illinois resident who meets certain income requirements may qualify for a discount on hospital services. You can apply for consideration under Mercyhealth's Financial Assistance Program. Call call 800.236.0999 or ask to speak with a patient financial counselor at any Mercyhealth location.
