Mercyhealth Development Foundation announces Charity Ball community raffle to benefit House of Mercy Homeless Center

Mercyhealth Development Foundation is pleased to announce its Charity Ball community raffle to benefit the House of Mercy Homeless Center, 320 Lincoln St., Janesville.

Proceeds from the raffle and Charity Ball support the House of Mercy Homeless Center, a 25-bed facility in Janesville that provides homeless families with short-term emergency shelter and access to housing, job placement and child care resources.

This year’s grand prize is $5,000 cash donated by Mercyhealth MD-1. Second prize is $2,500 cash donated by Rohlik Financial Group. Third prize is a $1,500 gift certificate to the The Diamond Center. Fourth prize is a $1,000 gift certificate to Pierce Home Furnishings. Fifth prize is $500 cash donated by E&D Water Works Inc.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, or five for $20, and may be purchased at the Mercyhealth hospital gift shops in Janesville and Rockford, the MercyCare Building in Janesville, online at mercyhealthsytem.org/charityball, and at the Charity Ball event. Tickets will also be sold at the following community events: Nights on Festival on August 18, Milton Community Days on August 26, the Janesville Farmers Market on August 27 and September 17, Music at the Marv on September 6, and the Beloit Farmers Market on September 10.

Raffle winners will be drawn at the Charity Ball on Saturday, October 1 at The Celtic House, 1417 W. Airport Rd., Janesville. The elegant evening will begin at 5 pm with a social hour, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. It also includes a gourmet dinner, an impressive assortment of silent and live auction items, raffles and live music by the Eddie Butts Band. Raffle prize winners will be announced at 9:30 pm. You need not be present to win.

Charity Ball event tickets are $125 per person. Seating is by reservation only. Sponsorships and monetary donations, as well as items donated to the event’s silent or live auctions, are greatly appreciated.
