Mercyhealth Family Medicine Residency Program–Rockford
Location overview
We are a community-based family medicine training program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Our primary clinical experience will occur at the Mercyhealth Alpine Family Medicine practice site and inpatient services training in the state-of-the-art facility at Mercyhealth’s Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside. We hope to instill our residents with a passion for making lives better while fostering a patient-centered approach to patient care.
Our goal is to train residents to practice compassionate and holistic health care. Residents will also have an opportunity to work in the underserved area on the west side of Rockford at our second clinic site, Mercyhealth Physician Clinic–Rockton. They will provide community outreach to local schools and participate in home visits. Through these settings, we hope to impart excellent health care to our community, and in turn, residents will emulate this practice after graduation in the community they serve.
