Our expansive service area covers 15 counties in Illinois and Wisconsin. Our clinics and hospitals are concentrated in the following counties. While we list our hospitals and larger clinics here, we have many more that can be found at mercyhealthsystem.org.

Boone County, Illinois

Boone County is at the boundary of two growing metropolitan regions. The Rockford Metropolitan area lies to the west and the greater Chicago Metropolitan area is to the east. Residents enjoy its rural charm, the Boone County Museum of History, a large fairgrounds that attracts many events and environmental stewardship led by the Boone County Conservation District.

McHenry County, Illinois

There's plenty of four-season fun in McHenry County. Enjoy Woodstock Groundhog Days (the movie was filmed here!) in February; thrilling tournaments at the 150-foot ski jump; beautiful autumn drives; and hundreds of shopping, dining and theater experiences, and more! Crystal Lake residents enjoy the many cultural and recreational opportunities of a major metro city, yet live in a pleasant, friendly, small-town atmosphere. The cities eclectic downtown shopping district is home to many fine shops, galleries, dining and the Raue Center for the Arts. The new Three Oaks Recreation Area is an outdoor lovers paradise. The reclaimed quarry features swimming beaches, fishing, paddle boat and kayak rentals, splash pad play area, sand volleyball, hiking trails, concessions and picnic grounds. Ogle County, Illinois

What is now Ogle County was once a part of the Northwest Territory. In 1809, the Territory of Illinois was formed and included Wisconsin and Peninsular Michigan. In 1818, Illinois, in its present boundaries, became the 21st state to join the Union. Ogle County was formed in 1836 from a part of Jo Daviess County. Today, there are opportunities of all kinds for those who love nature, history, shopping and dining.

Winnebago County, Illinois

Winnebago County is nestled in the north-central part of Illinois and is home to a workforce that is second to none, including a booming industry that continues to make its mark around the world. While manufacturing continues to be the county's largest industry, it is also home to three major medical centers and thousands of acres of the most bountiful farmland in the state. With access to Interstate highways, rail and a top-rated regional airport, the sky is the limit when it comes to economic opportunity. The county offers more than 10,000 acres of forest preserves and parks, numerous museums, bike paths, and year-round recreational opportunities.

Green County, Wisconsin

Smile and say cheese! You're in southwestern Wisconsin's Green County—famous for Swiss heritage and ethnic cuisine, colorful festivals, and tasty local brews perfectly paired with award-winning cheese. With two trails and mile after mile of paved back roads, Green County offers the best biking in the region. The scenery along the way includes cows grazing the lush green fields, colorful barn quilts and picturesque dairy farms dotting the horizon. There's more: prairies, parks, a winding river—just right for a leisurely canoe trip, plus the only ATV trail in southern Wisconsin.

Rock County, Wisconsin

Rock County offers residents and visitors alike an abundant array of cultural, historical, natural and recreational options. Anchored by the Rock River, this waterway offers water enthusiasts a range of activities. Museums and performing arts venues can be found on the campuses of area higher learning institutions, as well as within a number of local downtowns. From the Ice Age Trail to various river walks, bike ways and nature trails, there are over 250 miles of identified trails that weave throughout the county. Over a dozen area golf courses present a variety of layouts and playing options for the occasional hacker as well as the scratch golfer.

From the beaches of Williams Bay to the shops of Lake Geneva, the shores of Fontana to the unique history of Delavan, fun is everywhere in Walworth County.
