At the Mercy Occupational Conditioning Center, we realize a company's greatest resource is its employees. That's why we offer an extensive range of rehabilitation services designed to meet the needs of both employees and employers. Our programs offer numerous benefits that reduce recovery time, maximize work potential and prevent future injury.
Post-offer screenings
This evaluation provides information about an individual's physical capability to perform essential job functions. It is based upon ADA-compliant job descriptions submitted by the customer or completed by our therapists.
Functional job analysis
We evaluate essential/marginal job functions under one job title in compliance with ADA regulations.
Ergonomic survey
We identify high-risk areas for upper extremity and/or back cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs).
In-depth ergonomic evaluation
This detailed analysis of high-risk areas identified in the ergonomic survey looks for possible risk factors for CTDs.
Ergonomic modifications
We recommend ways to modify tools, job stations and work behaviors. This can be low cost or no cost by using existing staff and equipment.
Job work-method analysis
We assess the description of a job's tasks. This helps us look for alternative job placement/matching when an existing employee's functional capabilities do not meet current job demands. Other uses of job analysis include job re-structuring like job sharing, pod development or rotating job tasks.
On-site medical management
Preventive stretching exercise program
Stretching counteracts the effects of many physical job demands. Job-specific exercises interrupt repetitive motion, or awkward or static posture, with a brief movement in the opposite direction.
Early intervention
We use one-on-one evaluation to identify workers with musculoskeletal symptoms. Early intervention is consistent with OSHA's proposed ergonomic standard and may include supports, ice, heat, exercises, job modifications and safe work practices.
Train the trainer
We identify and train key people within your organization to form an ergonomics team. We also help supervisors identify ergonomic risks and offer strategies for remediation. This program, an investment in the future safety of your organization, identifies and controls CTDs as they arise.
ADA compliance assistance
This involves provision of practical recommendations for reasonable accommodations and facility accessibility as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for covered persons.
Driver assessment program
The Mercy Driver Assessment Program is designed to determine your ability to drive safely, whether you're recovering from an illness or injury or are simply concerned about how aging has affected your or your loved one's driving skills.
